El presente de Imri sólo existe en función de su futuro inmediato, el sueño de ir a vivir a Japón. Mientras tanto, todo es momentáneo y pasajero en Israel: sus encuentros sexuales, su nuevo trabajo en una tienda de dulces, sus relaciones familiares. La noche de Tel Aviv se hace presente a través de clubes nocturnos y de sus calles, pero el espacio se despliega con los videos que su amiga graba en las calles de Nueva York como turista y las lecciones de japonés que él toma. Construidas a partir de un guión y de improvisaciones, las escenas de sexo y masturbación, las múltiples pantallas y la variedad de imágenes (webcam, Internet, cámara fotográfica) no sólo definen un tono sino que generan un clima de intimidad que permite adentrarse en las dudas y en la ansiedad de su protagonista. En la búsqueda de un lugar mejor para vivir, el pasado aparece representado en distintas personas, mientras que el futuro siempre es incierto. Pero las ciudades lo siguen a uno donde quiera que vaya y, así, Imri descubrirá que hasta que no acepte el presente y se mire de manera sincera, no encontrará su lugar en el mundo.

Imri's present only exists according to his immediate future, his dream of living in Japan. Meanwhile, everything is momentary and temporary in Israel: his sexual encounters, his new job at the candy store, his family relationships. Tel Aviv's night becomes present through its streets and nightclubs, but the space is drawn by the videos his friend records as a tourist in the New York streets and the Japanese lessons he takes. Built upon a script and improvisations, the scenes of sex and masturbation, the split-screen, and the variety of images (webcam, Internet, photo camera) not only define a tone, but also generate an atmosphere of intimacy which allows going deep into the doubts and anxiety of its protagonist. In the search of a better place to live, the past appears represented in different people, while the future is always uncertain. Yet the cities follow you wherever you wanna go and, thus, Inri will discover that until he deals with the present and looks sincerely at himself, he will not find his place in the world.
